Communication With Families

Ms. Phillips, the school Administrator, sends out a weekly newsletter to families each Friday.  The RSPS Friday Newsletter contains information about all upcoming events including Back to School night, Open House, school holidays, etc. They may also contain tips for families from different providers, resources, transition information, links to sign ups for ESY, and school + district happenings.  Please take the time to read these in order to stay up to date on all things RSPS.  Chances are the answers to some of your questions can be found here.

School Wide Communication

All school reminders and communication are sent out through Parent Square, so setting up your account is essential to stay informed. Please see below for more information about setting up your Parent Square account.
Adjust Notification Settings:
Parent Square allows users to customize their notifications based on notification type and select their preferred delivery method. Notification types include:

Classroom Communication With Teachers

Teachers send bi-weekly updates through the Class Dojo app with pictures of happenings in the classroom, songs and stories they are enjoying, monthly core communication boards, and other ideas/materials/tips. You can send messages via Class Dojo and the app translates messages into your home language if it is not English.  During the school day staff are working with students, if you need to share something with your child's teacher immediately, please call the front office at 925-685-1960.  All staff are available via Class Dojo or email including your child's speech therapist, occupational therapist or any services that are part of their IEP.  Our team work to respond to your emails within 24 hours.  Your child's teacher is also their IEP case manager so they are your go-to person for any questions.
